In August 1998, Church began working for CNN International as a World News anchor out of the Atlanta headquarters of the network.

She was a Senior Anchor at ABC News, mostly employed by Australia Television, the network’s overseas division. In addition, she served as an anchor for Tasmania’s evening news and the summer edition of The World At Noon, in addition to reporting for the show Foreign Correspondent.

Church hosted “Church on Sunday” on 2SSS-FM for a number of years in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The show then changed its name to Triple S and covered music and events in Canberra, featuring special guests like Marilyn Dooley and the National Film and Sound Archive.

Under James Patterson’s management, 2SSS-FM was a community sports radio station that served the Canberra area. The duration was 1986–2003.

]Gaven Morris, another well-known person who began his career on Triple S, then worked for CNN before coming back to Australia to take a Director of News position at the ABC (2015).
