In the 2013–14 season, Nwora began playing basketball at Amherst Central High School. After two seasons, he transferred to The Park School of Buffalo.
At The Park School he shot 42 percent from three-point range, leading the Pioneers to the New York State Federation Class B championship, averaging 21.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.4 steals, and 1.4 assists.
He exceeded all of his season averages in his second season at The Park School, averaging 23.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.3 steals, and 1.8 assists. Playing at The Park School, he was named to the First Team All-Centercourt both in his junior and senior seasons.
Nwora played one more season in prep school, finishing at Vermont Academy with over 500 points scored, averaging 18.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in the 2016–17 campaign.
College Success
Nwora’s breakthrough came during his time as a student at the University of Louisville. Playing in the competitive Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) for the Louisville Cardinals, he quickly established himself as a crucial team member.

The Milwaukee Bucks selected Nwora with the 45th overall choice in the 2020 NBA draft. The Bucks revealed that they had signed Nwora on November 24, 2020.
At the beginning of the NBA G League season, he was assigned to the Salt Lake City Stars, where he made his debut on February 10, 2021. Due to an ankle ailment, he was brought up from the Stars three days later.
Nwora concluded his rookie seasonon May 16 in a 118–112 loss to the Chicago Bulls, recording a career-high 34 points on 14–23 shooting, 14 rebounds, and 2 blocks.Nwora won an NBA championship in his first campaign and assisted the Bucks in their 2021 NBA Finals victory over the Phoenix Suns.
